Please join me in welcoming Kelly Meade in her new role as Regional Director for ASD-S and DSF-S (Saint John and surrounding areas).
Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Kelly joined the Autism Intervention Services Team in September 2021. With her Master of Clinical Science in Speech Language Pathology from Western University, Kelly began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a children’s treatment centre in Ontario. For over a decade, she worked as a part of a collective interdisciplinary assessment team focusing on children with various complex physical and neurodevelopmental needs. Kelly has a diverse background including training in Auditory Verbal Therapy, pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders, The Lidcombe Program, PROMPT©, Hanen®, Beckman Oral Motor Assessment & Intervention and extensive experience in caregiver education and training.
Kelly has been a recognized clinical educator and mentor to new therapists since 2008. She enjoys her work with new therapists and aims to inspire and foster their clinical skills.
Kelly served as an Advanced Practice Leader for 6 years, where she led teams of therapists in an evidence-based practice approach to interdisciplinary care. Kelly is respected as a effective and hard-working leader, and values teamwork through collaboration. She is passionate about helping children and their families discover their abilities and reach their highest potential.
Kelly’s extensive leadership experience, strong management skills and engaging and collaborative personality has made her the ideal candidate for the role of Regional Program Director.
